The Elizabeth Seton Residence,
owned and operated by the Sisters of Charity of Halifax, Nova Scotia,
was opened in 1981. We are a non-profit 84-bed skilled nursing facility,
which is Medicaid and Medicare certified, licensed by the Massachusetts
Department of Public Health and accredited by the Joint Commission
on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.

Spiritual Services |

All of our endeavors
are focused on meeting the spiritual, physical, psychological, emotional
and cultural needs of our residents and to reaching out to their
family and friends as well. We provide an atmosphere of friendliness
and concern, allowing for frequent contact with relatives and friends,
and for participation in recreational activities and community affairs.
The Elizabeth Seton Residence is open and welcome to all, regardless
of religion, race, color, sex, or national origin.

As a Catholic
facility, we provide opportunities for participation in the Eucharist
celebration and other non-denominational spiritual exercises. Mass
is celebrated daily in the facility’s large chapel, which is fully
accessible. There is a full-time chaplain, and a variety of spiritual
activities in which residents may participate.

Seton Affiliation with Caritas Christi |

The
affiliation of Elizabeth Seton Residence with Caritas Christi provides
an opportunity to belong to a Catholic health care delivery system
as an integral member, positioned for future growth and development.
Elizabeth Seton, through
the Caritas Christi Health Care System, has access to services of
four acute care hospitals, a long-term care network, home care and
hospice services for the terminally ill.
This affiliation is a
collaborative effort to ensure that the Sisters of Charity of Halifax
continue to care for members of the congregation, as well as the
general public.
