Celebrating our 40th ANNIVERSARY

This year, Elizabeth Seton Residence celebrates its 40th Anniversary of caring service to the community.

Forty years ago, in 1980, the world was a very different place with few local options for those in need of skilled nursing and rehabilitation care. The Sisters of Charity responded to this need and welcomed the public to the Elizabeth Seton Residence, a five-star, mission-driven facility that would improve the lives of so many. Today we welcome seniors from all walks of life and are recognized as one of the top skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities in the country. While remaining true to our mission of providing compassionate and caring service in an atmosphere where all feel welcome and respected, we are driven by an unwavering commitment to improve the health, well-being and sense of purpose of those we have the privilege to serve.

An anniversary is a time for celebration and reflection.

This year – under very difficult circumstances, we persevered. As the pandemic continues to challenge us, we are keeping strong. In honor of all those who make the Elizabeth Seton Residence the very special, exceptional place that it is, members of our staff came together to produce and perform “Lean On Me” – a video tribute to the loving, compassionate spirit of charity on which we were founded.

We would also like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to everyone who helped sustain us during this year of COVID. From friends and families who donated personal protective equipment, restaurants who delivered food to nourish our staff, those who took the time to make us cards with inspirational messages, letters of support, handmade paper cranes – a symbol of hope, and the chalk murals in our courtyard – all made with love, we say thank you.
