Guidelines for Visits with Long Term Care Resident
– If NOT Fully Vaccinated –
The health and safety of our patients, residents and staff is our highest priority.
When either the visitor or the resident is not fully vaccinated, Long Term Care Residents may still be visited in their room. We encourage all family members to be vaccinated as soon as possible, and boosted when they become eligible, to help protect themselves and our residents and staff.
Visits are limited to two visitors at a time. Non-vaccinated children are NOT permitted to visit indoors at this time, but may visit outside in our courtyard. Any visitors coming from out of state must adhere to the Governor’s MA State travel requirements.
Protecting the health of our frail population is of the utmost importance, so we follow all Department of Public Health requirements for safe visitation including screening all visitors for temperature and symptoms, providing a clean mask, requiring hand hygiene, and maintaining distancing during visits. No food or drink is allowed during visits as masks must be worn. It is preferable for visits to take place outdoors during good weather, but in-room visitation is permitted as of December 2021.
You may also call to schedule a Virtual Visit (Zoom, Facetime or similar) if your loved one needs assistance from staff to connect with you virtually. Virtual Visits are scheduled by calling the Activities Dept at 781-997-1123 at least 24 hours in advance. Leave a message requesting a virtual visit. We will connect you with your loved one at a mutually convenient time, using our I-Pad tablets.
